1. Who we are

Rupee Tracker ("we", "us", "our") provides this personal-finance tracking tool. We act as the data controller for personal data we collect about you when you use the Service.

2. Data we collect

We collect:

  • Account data: email address and authentication credentials.
  • Financial data you enter: holdings, balances, ticker symbols, vesting schedules, targets, outgoings, and similar information you choose to record.

  • Support communications: messages you send to support.

Payment data (card details, billing address) is collected directly by our payment processor Stripe and is not stored by us.

3. Why we use it

  • To create your account and provide the Service (legal basis: performance of contract).
  • To secure the Service and prevent fraud or abuse (legitimate interests).
  • To improve and maintain the Service (legitimate interests).
  • To respond to support requests (performance of contract / legitimate interests).
  • To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).

4. Who we share data with

  • Hosting and infrastructure providers who store and process data on our behalf.
  • Stripe, our payment processor, which handles checkout, subscription management, payments, and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. International transfers

Data may be processed outside the UK / EEA by our service providers. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to comply with legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligations.

7. Your rights

Subject to local law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We will respond to verified requests within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (including encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication) to protect your data. No service is 100% secure, but we work to limit risk.

9. Cookies

We use only cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences such as Privacy Mode). We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

10. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service.
